It should come as no surprise to anyone that the lyrics to most achingly romantic song of all time -- an epic work about loving someone, flaws and all -- was a gay man who suffered from depression throughout his life. Lorenz Hart ultimately died of pneumonia from exposure after drinking heavily following the death of his mother.
