Song of the Day: 'Blinded by the Light' by Manfred Mann's Earth Band
I can almost smell my mom's Silva Thin Menthol cigarette smoke in the back seat of our beige 1977 Pontiac Catalina Safari station wagon whenever this comes on -- something that happened frequently during those long drives from Detroit to Washington, D.C., when I was kid. Was I just restless, or was the Pennsylvania Turnpike about 2,000 miles long in the 1970s?
