Weekend Tennis Update


Hard to write a comprehensive tennis roundup when we are midway through the first major of the year. But suffice to say it's been an exciting week, with Frances Tiafoe and Stefanos Tsitsipas finally delivering on some Next Gen promise with their wins over Grigor Dmitirov and Roger Federer, respectively. How I'd love to see one of them win it all. 


And while Serena Williams is looking unstoppable -- as with the Big Three, when is it enough? -- I won't exactly be disappointed if she ends up tying Margaret Court's apples-to-oranges record on the stadium that bears the homophobe's name.

Milos Raonic made Alexander Zrerev look like a "major" fool again. But as I said before, any chance to see what's in the Balkan Canadian's box is fine with me.


The Croatia-Serbia battle between Borna Coric and Filip Krajinović was a sight to behold. Glad Borna pulled it out. Next up is Luca Pouille in what promises to be the Battle of the Bubble Butts.


And ... did you see Ash Barty edge out Maria Sharapova?
