Two of Smollett's Friends Arrested in Connection With Alleged Hate Crime
The two brothers arrested in connection with the Jussie Smollett case are friends of the actor. Smollett follows the guys' joint Instagram account and they have posted photos while using the private gym inside Smollett's luxury gym. Even giving Smollett the benefit of the doubt that he was unable to recognize them if they were all bundled up and masked, it still seems completely implausible that they would turn on him and then begin punching him while hurling the n-and f-words while declaring Chicago "MAGA country."
I think the only question now is if Smollett will try to pull a Tonya Harding and claim he didn't know his own friends staged an attack on him. I have a feeling in these post- truth times many people will claim they still believe he's a victim, even if none of it makes any sense. We can blame W and Trump for truthiness and alternative facts all we want. But this is what Russia did to liberals.
